NaissBlue Quartet, led by trumpet player Marijan Cvetanovic and pianist Bojan Bojkovic, explores eight songs from movies scored by famous Serbian film composer Zoran Simjanovic. The pieces that were chosen are each easily adaptable to jazz.Three pieces, from movies Bosko Buha, The Guardian Angel & The Meeting Point, have thiers altertake versions.Styles are ranging from romps to waltzes and mood pieces, and all the elements of music are often beautifully cinematic and episodic, but the songs fare well standing independent of the films. While Cvetanovic is the lead voice, each musician make important contributions to the swinging music.
